Introducing a Combination Test: ORAC CAA 

We're excited to share a new testing option at Institut Kurz that adds valuable insights to antioxidative qualities of your product. This combination blends the ORAC test with Cell-based Antixidative Activity (CAA). It gives us essential information about product safety and effectiveness in a biological context.

You might know that the ORAC test has been a reliable measurement of the chemical antioxidant potential for more than 20 years. However, being a merely chemical test it doesn't represent real-life performance. For that reason, we use cell-based approaches to bridge this gapand understand how products performs in living cells. This helps us get closer to understanding real-life effects. 

At Institut Kurz, we're thrilled to introduce this combinned testing option that adds valuable insights to ORAC test with a cell-based antioxidant (CAA) assay.

The CAA test involves two important steps:

Step 1: We assess the sample to make sure it doesn't harm cells before we proceed to testing.

Step 2: We test different concentrations of the sample to see how well it works as an antioxidant in a cellular environment. This tells us whether the sample is being absorbed by the cells and how effective it is counteracting oxidative stress from within the cells.
